Southern Singletrack Trail Series: Holiday Hootie Hoo

With three races now in the books — West Point Break, Bucky’s BTPR, and the Chewacla Cha Cha — the Southern Singletrack Trail Series leaderboard is starting to take shape. Early season grit, tight finishes, and a few breakout performances have set the stage for the series’ biggest race of the year: Holiday Hootie-Hoo at F. D. Roosevelt State Park on December 14, 2025.
Chewacla once again proved to be a game changer, rewarding consistency and exposing even the smallest lapses in focus. Now, series runners turn their attention to Holiday Hootie Hoo. One strong race at the Hootie-Hoo could flip the standings and set the tone for the final stretch of the series.
Short Series Standings
Men’s Division
Ben Crockett has continued his hot streak with strong finishes at all three events, solidifying his position at the top.
Chuck Rudd and Michael Spicer remain well within striking distance, and a strong showing at Hootie-Hoo could shake things up.
With the field this competitive, one big day on Pine Mountain could rewrite the order entirely.
Women’s Division
Karin Hurley is proving that consistency pays off!
Long Series Standings
Men’s Division
Benji Mitchum continues to lead with a steady, dominant presence across all three races.
Bobby Poer is still well in the hunt—Chewacla may have widened the gaps slightly, but nothing is decided.
The long course at Pine Mountain favors grit and endurance, leaving plenty of room for a big leap in the standings.
Women’s Division
Meghan Kennedy holds the advantage heading into the holiday race, but Elisabeth Arthur and Emily Purcell are right there, ready to make a move.
Pine Mountain’s rolling terrain has a way of shaking up the leaderboard, and this race could be the turning point.
Looking Ahead: Holiday Hootie-Hoo
The Holiday Hootie-Hoo isn’t just another race — it’s the grand finale of the Southern Singletrack Trail Series. Runners will take on one of Georgia’s most scenic and challenging trail systems, weaving through rock outcroppings, forested singletrack, and creek crossings.
Cool temps, cozy race hoodies, finisher’s awards, and a roaring campfire make it the perfect mix of competition and celebration. With the series titles still up for grabs, this race is where season-long stories are written.
